Medeama’s lead extension halted by Arsenals

Medeama had their lead at the top trimmed to two points after settling for a one-all draw with Berekum Arsenals at the Golden City Park on Wednesday.

Hosts Arsenals roared back to snatch a vital draw at the expense of the visitors, now two points richer than Asante Kotoko’s 33-points.

After a barren first half, Medeama shot into the lead through Tanko Mohamed on 77 minutes. But the lead was tol last for only four minutes, as Akwesi Bonsu restored parity to save his side from defeat.

Elsewhere in Dansoman, Liberty Professionals and All Stars settled for a barren draw in their week 19 fixture.
