Greater Accra Regional minister meets Chief Executives of MMDAs

Mr. Julius Debrah, Greater Accra Regional Minister, has engaged Chief Executives of Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDA’s) in the region, to develop social-economic strategies.

The meeting that was held in Accra on Tuesday, also served as a platform for initiating linkages to strengthen public private partnership, to accelerate the development agenda of the government in the region.

Mr Debrah said the time had come for the private sector to be encouraged to partner government in its agenda, saying “government alone could not shoulder all grievances, but with the support of private entities massive development could be achieved”.

He said: “I am here to work together with you, so that the President’s Better Ghana Agenda would be achieved, and I hope you are all prepared to support the President to achieve his goal so that the good people of Ghana would be happy”.

Mr Debrah asked MMDAs not to relent in their efforts and work hard to develop the region.

Mr John Kwao Sackey, Municipal Chief Executive for Ga East, congratulated the minister for the appointment, and thanked him for holding the meeting at the early stage of duties, saying this was a sign of effective collaboration.

Mr Sackey gave the assurance that the MMDAs were ready to work with the minister to develop the region.
