The project was financed from the assembly’s share of the District Development Fund (DDF).

Mr Charles Oti-Prempeh, District Chief Executive (DCE), has hand over the structure to the Police Administration.

The district has become a big attraction to many unemployed youth because of the gold deposits there and this had led to increased in violent crimes such as robbery.

The DCE said it had therefore become necessary to give the police every needed support to maintain law and order and provide adequate security for the people.

He said apart from the Datano project, the assembly had also built a new structure for the Keniago police station while plans are afoot for another station at Tontokrom.
