President Mahama reshuffles Ministers

President John Dramani Mahama on Monday effected a Ministerial reshuffle as part of his administration vision to transform Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies into incubators of local level development.

He said this would bring real and immediate development opportunities, benefits and services to the people of Ghana.

A statement signed by Dr Raymond A. Atuguba, Executive Secretary to the President and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, said in order for Regional Ministers to focus mainly on the political and technical development coordination of the development efforts of MMDAs, and as a measure to foster national unity, integration and cohesion.

The Ministers Regional Ministers are Mr Samuel Sarpong, Ashanti Regional Minister move to the Central Region, Mr Eric Opoku, Brong Ahafo Regional Minster moves to the Ashanti Region, Mr Ebenezer Kwadjo Teye Addo, Central Regional Minister moves to the Western Region and Mr Julius Debrah, Eastern Regional Minister moves to the Greater Accra Region.

The others are Nii Laryea Afortey Agbo, Greater Accra Regional Minister moves to the Volta Region, Dr Ephaim Avea Nsoh, Upper East Regional Minister, moves to the Upper West, Mr Dede Anwataazumo Ziedeng, Upper West Regional Minister moves to the Northern Region, Mrs Helen Ntoso, Volta Regional Minister moves to the Eastern Region and Mr Paul Evans Aidoo, Western Regional Minister moves to the Brong Ahafo Region and Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru, Minister of State at the Presidency moves to the Upper East Region.
