Teachers asked to regard themselves as agents of change

School under treeNana Kofi Imbeah, Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolitan Director of Education, has entreated teachers to consider themselves a s agents, mentors and professionals whose core mandate was to shape the lives of their students.

He, therefore, charged teachers to ensure that school children acquire skills and knowledge, acceptable moral standards and sense of patriotism towards national development.

Nana Imbeah, who was speaking at the pre-independence anniversary parade by school children from the metropolis, asked teachers, government, parents and other stakeholders to work collectively to support education since it forms the foundation for national development.

Captain (Rtd) Anthony Cudjoe, the Metropolitan Chief Executive, asked parents and teachers to equip children with the requisite skills and attitude to enable them to cope with modernization.
