Ghana to develop CSR policy

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI) and the country’s partners are to develop a comprehensive national corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy in Ghana to enable companies to know where to channel their resources.

The sector, Mr Haruna Iddrisu announced this at the Unilever Ghana dinner with key business contacts in Accra last Thursday.

He said the government had also taken a decisive step to locate private sector coordination under the Office of the President, while a Minister of State had been assigned the responsibility to coordinate and supervise the development and implementation of private sector initiatives.

He said already the government has inaugurated the Private Sector Advisory Council under the chairmanship of President John Mahama and decisive steps were underway to deepen the implementation of the Private Sector Development Strategy (PSDS) II covering all major aspects of sector development.

    omprehensive national corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy in Ghana SOONER THE BETTER AND MAKE IT INTO LAW OF THE LAND . LOOK AT NORWAY AND OTHER SCANDINAVIAN COUNTRIES. LOCAL CONTENT LAW PLEASE NEED TO BE LAW OF THE LAND. LISTING IN GHANA STOCK EXCHANGE NEED TO BE LAW
