ICT_InternetThe leading telecommunication network in Ghana, MTN, in partnership with Echo House Ghana Limited, have launched a web portal that opens the door for students in tertiary institutions to access academic, entertainment and professional career information at no additional cost.

The new web portal will allow students to access academic results, examination timetable, and information pertaining to campus activities, entertainment, employment opportunities and career guidance and counseling services necessary for students’ decision making process.

Madam Beryl Agyemang, Director of Echo House Ghana Limited, announced this at the launch of the web portal dubbed: “kuulpeeps”kuulpeeps, on Saturday at the University of Ghana campus.

Madam Beryl explained that academic and career created on the portal would afford students the opportunity to access information more cheaply and with ease.

She said it would also provide useful resources on jobs and “everything else that equips the student for an awesome career after school”.

Mr Eric Nsarkoh, General Manager, Business Solutions, Scancom Limited said the project would have a positive impact on students’ academic performance, personal development, enhance entertainment as well as improve social networking opportunities.

Mr Nsarkoh added that the project had the potential to significantly increase business opportunities on university campuses.

He noted that in order to sustain the interest of students over time, there was the need for Echo House Ghana Limited to continually come out with new ways of doing things and ensure relevance and timeliness.

He said MTN would continue to provide social and academic information to tertiary institutions in the country through kuulpeeps to facilitate students’ access to information.

Mr Nsarkoh added that MTN would continue to partner likeminded organisations to continue the tradition of investing in the nation’s education programmes.

“MTN will also continue to support the country’s entrepreneurs who play key role in educating, inspiring and exciting young minds of today who would be the future leaders of tomorrow,” he added.
