Burkina Faso beat Ghana 3-2 on penalties to play in the finals against Nigeria at the ongoing AFCON 2013.

The second semi-final game was one all before it entered the extra time where both Ghana and Burkina Faso failed to score. It then went to penalties and Burkina Faso won.

This means Ghana has to wait for the 2015 edition of the soccer fiesta to try to win the trophy which the team last won in 1982. The country has won the Nations Cup four times.

Denied the grand finale, Ghana must now settle for 3rd or 4th place with Mali.
