“He said: “It is with great expectation that I swear all of you in, and you need to apply knowledge, experience and expertise since there is a lot of work to be done.”

The Ministers, who took the oaths of allegiance included Mr Kwadwo Oppong Ofosu, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development and Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, Minister for Education.

The rest were; Dr Kwadwo Oteng Agyei , Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovations and Nana Oye Lithur, Minister for Gender, Children and social protection.

President Mahama reminded them that it was an honour and a privilege to serve one’s nation and it was therefore a responsibility to strictly adhere to all the rules and regulations governing public service.

The President also advised them against discriminating against the people they served based on their ethnic, social, religious or religious affiliation.

He promised to distribute the national cake equitably among all the regions and appealed to the Ministers to play their roles meaningfully to enable them to execute all their roles responsibly and appropriately.

Nana Oye Lithur on behalf of her colleagues commended President Mahama for the privilege and promised they would execute their jobs professionally.
