Adansi South Assembly completes GH¢170,000 school project

PupilsThe Adansi South District Assembly has completed the construction of a modern primary school project for the people of Kubi Kwanto at a cost of GH¢170,000.

The facility is made up of a six classroom block, an office and a store.

The Assembly has also initiated programmes to construct a six-seater water closet (WC) toilet at Ataase Nkwanta and rehabilitate the Ampunyase Area council offices at a total cost of GH¢50,000.

Speaking at the inauguration of the school project, Mr Benjamin Anhwere Kaakyire, District Chief Executive, noted that the Better Ghana agenda was on course and that it had manifested in the provision of “this beautiful school project for Kubi Kwanto community”.

He urged the community to lend support to the government since the President Mahama administration was poised to develop the country.

The DCE was optimistic that the community’s request for electricity would be considered at the appropriate time, stressing “this is a government that acts on its promises.”

Nana Amoabeng II, the Odikro of the area, expressed appreciation to the assembly and the government for responding to their request and appealed to the President to retain the DCE to enable him to continue with the good works to help facilitate the development of the district.

At Ampunyase where the people felt reluctant to attend the sod-cutting ceremony for the rehabilitation of the Area Council offices, the District Chief Executive reminded the community that it was time they did away with partisan considerations and instead think about the development of their area.

“We vote for development but we do not vote to drive away progress”, Mr. Anhwere told the few people present.
