Tema DVLA registers 1,462 vehicles first six days of 2013

The Tema Office of the Driver Vehicle and Licensing  Authority (DVLA),  registered 1,462 vehicles during the first six working days of  2013.

Alhaji Iddrisu Huseini, Tema Regional Licensing Officer, told the GNA that the figure comprised 1,156 private and 182 commercial vehicles and 124 motor cycles.

Alhaji Huseini said his outfit registered 242 on January 2, 318 on January 3, 222 vehicles on January 4, 177 vehicles on January 7 and 195 vehicles on January 8.

He said to meet the daily target during the rush period, the registration desk was increased from one to three to speed up work on the issuance of registration numbers.
