US congratulates Mahama after swearing in as Ghana’s President
The US government has congratulated Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama on being sworn in today January 7, 2013 at the Independence Square, Accra.
A statement from the US Embassy in Ghana, said “once again, Ghana has demonstrated its leadership as one of Africa’s most stable democracies.”
Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Mr Daniel W. Yohannes, led a US Presidential delegation to attend the inauguration.
We expect that under the new administration Ghana will continue to grow and prosper to the benefit of all its citizens, the statement said.
