Black Stars to meet President Mahama before Abu Dhabi trip

The Black Stars team is set to meet President John Mahama today January 3, 2013 at the Osu Castle before the squad’s departure to Abu Dhabi for camping ahead of the Afcon 2013, the Football Association (GFA) has announced.

According to the FA, the entire Black Stars squad, technical and management team will visit His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama at the Castle Osu on Thursday morning.

The team is expected to hear some advice and words of encouragement from the country’s leader.

The GFA said it has lined up some important activities on Thursday for the team before it departs to Abu Dhabi on Friday.

Immediately after the Castle event, the FA in a press statement indicated that the squad will move to the Teshie Orphanage where they will make a donation of various items to the school to help in the upkeep of the orphans.

The Black Stars will also pay a visit to the offices of Zoom Lion, to launch the ‘A Clean Ghana is a Victorious Ghana’ campaign to promote cleanliness and healthy living among Ghanaians as part of the team’s social responsibility programme, according to the FA.
