Christians said to be in double standard lifestyles

marketApostle Emmanuel Achim Gyimah, Kaneshie Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, has bemoaned the double standard lifestyles that had engulfed the Christian community throughout the world.

He said most believers claimed to love Jesus Christ, but yet developed passion for things of the world, saying “But the Bible tells us that anyone who is born of God does not continue to sin”.

Apostle Gyimah said this in a sermon entitled: “The Roadmap to a Fruitful and Successful Living,” at the Abeka District English Assembly of the Church in Accra on Sunday as part of the Yuletide.

He said the roadmap of God for humanity had to start with salvation after which the believer is expected to bear fruit to become successful.

“The problem with Christianity is that people desire to serve and worship God, but they are not truly born again. If you are truly born of God, victory is yours in advance,” he noted.

Apostle Gyimah observed noted that the reason why most believers do not bear lasting fruits was because they did not constantly meditate on the word of God.

He indicated that most people rather focused on being successful in life without taking into account the will of Jesus Christ for each of His children to bear fruits that would impact positively on other people around them.

“Christ has chosen us to go out and bear lasting fruits, in our spiritual lives, marriages, finances and even in our singlehood.”

Apostle Gyimah urged Christians to observe and enjoy daily communion with God, desire for righteousness and hate iniquity, persevere and continuously strive for more education.

According to him, his vision for the Church in the Area in 2013 is for each member to bear much fruit to advance the Kingdom of God and extend these fruits such as love, peace and joy to the entire country, “but this vision cannot materialise if members are not fruitful”

Pastor Henry Sowah Akonai, District Pastor, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency said there were a number of unexplored benefits in God and that the only way to discover such benefits was for one to place holiness at the centre of his or her activities in the New Year.

He called on Christians to avail themselves as honorable vessels for God to use and strive to portray acts of love, courage, hospitality and peace in 2013.
