Swedru Gov’t Hospital records 15 Christmas babies

babyThe Agona Swedru Municipal Government Hospital recorded 15 births comprising eight girls and seven boys during the Christmas period.

Dr Apetorgbor Dzodzodzegbe, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital made this known in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Wednesday at Agona Swedru.

According to Dr Dzodzodzegbe, 10 babies, five males and five females, were born on  December 25, while five babies made up of three females and two males were delivered on December 26.

Dr Dzodzodzegbe said the babies and their mothers were in good condition of health, adding that most of them had been discharged.

Dr Dzodzodzegbe said no maternal and child deaths were recorded during the festivities due to education and intervention put in place by the hospital.

The Medical Superintendent said apart from delivery of babies, the hospital received other emergency cases but that they were able to handle them successfully.
