Ghana Premier League: Ashgold gets home win

footballYakubu Mohammed’s 89th minute goal earned Ashgold a 2-1 victory over visiting Ebusua Dwarfs in the 13-week fixture of the Glo Premier League played at Len Clay Stadium, Obuasi.

After a scoreless first half, Dwarf opened the scores in the 55 minute when Francis Attuquaye’s, powerful shot outside the penalty box beat goalkeeper Fatau Dauda, in post.

Ashgold, 14 minutes on fought back to level up through Henry Traore, after Latif Mohammed, picked him up with a fine cross just around Dwarfs goal area.

With all pointing to a split of points, Louis Agyemang, pounced right in the middle and  raced deep into the vital area of Dwarfs. Agyeman, then located Mohammed, who kept a cool head to plant the ball at blind side of goalkeeper Adade Foli to wrap up victory for the Miners.
