Shoppers grab last minute items before Christmas

Vehicular traffic is mounting in the Central Business District (CBD) of Accra, where shoppers are rushing to grab their last minute items for the Christmas festivities.

The traffic congestion was as a result of people coming from all walks of life to purchase one or two items for the occasion.

Thousand of shoppers also thronged the CBD to see the items displayed on the pavement on the shoulders of the road.

The prices of some items and commodities have also gone up a situation which is a usual characteristic of the celebration of Christmas.

A visit to some Bus terminal revealed that not many people are traveling as in previous years and the issue could not be explained by officials the GNA interacted with.

The traffic situation along the Graphic road saw heavy traffic congestion stretching from Kaneshie all along to CBD.
