Starbow becomes Ghana’s largest domestic airline

StarbowStarbow Airlines, a domestic and regional airline, has taken delivery of a new BAe 146 aircraft, bringing the number of its fleet to four and making the largest Ghanaian based airline in terms of fleet size.

In a statement released in Accra on Monday, Mr. Andy Smith, Head of Commercial-Starbow stated: “The delivery of this 4th jet aircraft, with 97 seats, will allow us to add additional frequencies in order to meet rising domestic demand and also explore new regional and domestic route opportunities. We have experienced strong interest from the market for our dedicated charter services and this extra aircraft will allow us to further grow this area of the business.”

The new aircraft arrived at Kotoka Airport in Accra on Sunday December 16 and is currently being prepared for entry into service.
