Sunyani Methodist to build GH¢500,000 Wesley Cathedral Complex

The Right Reverend Kofi Asare Bediako, Methodist Bishop of Sunyani Diocese, on Wednesday cut the sod for work to begin on an ultra modern office complex for the Church in Sunyani.

The GH¢500,000 four storey “Wesley Cathedral Complex” will comprise a 400 capacity conference hall, residential accommodation, a car park and expected to be completed within 18 months.

Rt-Rev. Asare explained that in addition to spiritual development, the Church was a partner in development and the project was part of its social responsibility programme.

He was optimistic that members of the Church would contribute both in kind and in cash to complete the project on schedule.

Very Rev. Oswald Samuel Boakye, Superintendent Minister of Wesley Cathedral stressed the need for the Church to find alternative ways of making its finances strong.

He said it was being financed through individual contributions and donations and advised members to support all activities geared towards its growth to God’s glory.
