Cape Coast judiciary workers on strike

The staff of the judiciary service in Cape coast on Tuesday embarked on a sit-down strike in protest for the non-payment of government subvention for administration as well as allowances for individual workers.

Red bands have been hanged at the premises of the court with all cases adjourned until further notice.

A worker who pleaded anonymity told the GNA that until their allowances and monies for administration were paid they will continue with the strike.

Efforts to reach some of the executive of the Judicial Service Association of Ghana (JUSAG) executives to comment on the issue proved futile as they were not available in the court premises.
