A Social Media Conference in Accra is discussing the use of online tools for engaging societies and for development.

The conference organised by the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is scheduled to run from Wednesday November 28 to Thursday November 29, 2012.

Participants are discussing the use of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Blogger and Google+ to advocate for minorities and for change.

Countries represented include Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Kenya, the Netherlands, Sierra Leone and the USA.
