Ghana registers nearly 90,000 new companies in eight years – World Bank

A latest World Bank data shows that Ghana registered 89,828 companies in eight years.

The period was between 2004 and 2011.

Citing data from the Registrar General’s Department, the World Bank entrepreneurship data released last October 25, 2012 indicated that in the year 2011 the highest number of new firms, 15,649, were registered.

The year 2004 had the lowest record of new companies. 5,989 companies were registered.
