Hearts sacks coach CK Akunnor

Accra Hearts of Oak has sacked coach Charles Kwabena Akunnor, after losing three successive matches in the five week old Glo Premier League.

This was after an emergency meeting by the Board of Directors of the club, deep into the night on Wednesday, October 31.

Coach Akunnor, who took over reins of Hearts of Oak in the middle of the last premier league season is reported to have failed to clamp down on indiscipline in the playing body as well as the technical team.

Hearts, only managed four points from five matches, with the club just hanging above the relegation zone in the premiership.

Information gathered by the GNA Sports reveals that the 2000 Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Champions League winners has lined coaches J.E. Sarpong and David Duncan as the possible candidates for the job.
