Late Prof John Atta Mills

The Asomdwe Memorial Park in Accra will be re-opened to the public on Friday, November, 2, 2012 following the completion of the first phase of construction works, a statement signed by the Deputy Minister of Information, Mr James Agyenim-Boateng, said on Monday.

The Park, near the Independence Square in Accra, is a presidential mausoleum which currently holds the mortal remains of President John Evans Atta Mills.

It was opened to the public after his funeral on August 10, 2012. The park was originally planned to be re-opened to the public at the end of September 2012, but construction works took longer than anticipated, the statement said.
