Accountant-General’s Department introduces new scheme of service
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department is to introduce new scheme of service for its staff, in order to meet challenges in service delivery, Mr. Andrews K.K.Kufe, the Deputy Controller and Accountant-General, said on Tuesday.
He said the introduction of the new scheme was in line with the Single Spine Salary Structure implementation, and the salary structure of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana.
Mr. Kufe was speaking at a day’s sensitisation workshop on the new scheme, organised for the staff of the Department and finance officers of various establishments, at Takoradi.
He asked staff of the Department to take advantage of the new scheme and improve their professional skills, to enable them to improve on service delivery.
Mr. Kufe said the initiative was in respond to growing demand for capacity building from staff, and “I wish to encourage members of staff to take professional courses in accountancy”.
He said the date for the implementation of the new scheme would be announced after the completion of nationwide sensitization workshops.
