Amissah-Arthur named Mahama’s running-mate

Kwesi Amissah-Arthur – Vice President

The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has named Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur as the running-mate of President John Mahama for the 2012 December elections.

The announcement was made today September 18, 2012 following a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

Mr Amissah-Arthur was sworn-in as Vice President August 6, 2012 after he was nominated by President Mahama.

The economist who became Governor of the Bank of Ghana on October 1, 2009 replaced Dr Paul Acquah at the Bank.
