Mr. Ameen Salifu, Wa East District Chief Executive, has said 27 communities in the district would be connected to the national grid soon.

The communities include Chaggu, Bisakaan, Yaala Number One and Yaala Number Two, Bufiama, Kulikpon, Kundugu, Konta, Gudaayiri and Naaha would soon be connected as work is progressing steadily.

Mr. Salifu, who is the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Wa East Constituency, said this at Chaggu.

Mr. Issahaque Munawaru, the Wa East Constituency Secretary of the NDC, advised the people against destruction of campaign posters of political party candidates, saying it could cause violence ahead of the December elections.

Mr. Kuri Suglo, the Deputy Regional Organizer of the Youth Enterprises and Skills Development Centre (YESDEC), said the expansion of education infrastructure, provision of portable water, the introduction of pro-poor agricultural interventions and the training of youth in self-employable skills had made the NDC incomparable to any other political party.
