Police arrests three men for narcotics

The Sekondi Drug Law Enforcement Unit (DLEU) of the Police Service, have arrested three persons for unauthorised possession of narcotics in a swoop at Top-10, a suburb of Takoradi.

They are, Anthony Chuma, 31, alias Tonny, Faisal Sumaila, 24, and Matthew Asare Mensah, 47.

The Western Regional Unit Commander for DLEU, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Anthony Dogbey confirmed the arrest to the GNA on Friday.

The police retrieved 19 small pieces of whitish substances suspected to be cocaine, 87 and five wrapped quantities of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp on them.

They were arraigned before a Takoradi Circuit court in Takoradi on Thursday and remanded into custody.
