Christians urged to encourage decent language

Rev. Dr. Daniel Bruce, District Pastor of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church-Adenta, has urged Christians to encourage the use of decent language by politicians.

He said there was no need for all the insults that politicians heaved on each other.

“Elections are not a do or die affair. Do not let some-one use your life to satisfy his ambitions.”

Rev. Bruce gave the advice at the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church at Adenta.

He said it was also important for only those who had politics as their calling to venture into politics.

“Do not force yourself into doing things you may not be cut out for, since you may flop in the end.”

He said Ghanaians should only make it a point to vote for the candidate they thought was the best.

Rev. Bruce urged Ghanaians to keep the peace that the country had enjoyed over the years.

“We are being praised all over the world as a beacon of peace. Let us strive to maintain this enviable position,” he said.

Touching on the theme of the anniversary celebration; Strategic Evangelism For Sustainable Growth and Development,” he said the anniversary coincided with God’s own declared age for entering the ministry.

“At 25, God commissions us to go the length of the world and preach his word,” he said.
