Tamale Metro Assembly gets new Coordinating Director

Alhaji Shehu Awudu Kadri has assumed office as the Coordinating Director for the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly.

Alhaji Kadri took over from Mr J.B Atugubah, who has proceeded on his retirement.

Prior to his new appointment, Alhaji Kadri was the Coordinating Director of the Yendi Municipal Assembly and in an interaction with journalists at the Metro offices in Tamale, the new Coordinating Director appealed to the media to help him spread the efforts of the Assembly.

He said “we cannot succeed without the press especially in Tamale where a lot of stereotypes abound” adding that the cooperation with the media would help to prevent misinformation to the public.

Alhaji Kadri also called on the media to ensure that they kept the public officers accountable to the electorate.

The journalists took turns to welcome as well as congratulate Alhaji Kadri on his appointment and pledged to work to promote the image of the Metropolis.
