Wassa Assembly gets tools to start Land Administration Project phase two

The Wassa East District Assembly has received its share of logistics to enable it to carry out phase two of the Land Administration Project (LAP).

Mr Anthony Bassaw, District Chief Executive, said this at the sixth ordinary meeting of the Assembly at Daboase.

The LAP is a World Bank sponsored project expected to support land sector agencies to improve the storage of spatial data, land use planning, and to aid in timely delivery of land services to interested individuals.

Mr Bassaw said the implementation of the LAP in the District would help in solving most of the problems concerning land acquisition and physical development in the District.

He said logistics and capacity building were provided on regular basis to support the work of the land sector agencies in carrying out their mandate.

Mr Bassaw appealed to the assembly members to educate their electoral areas on the need to participate peacefully in the December general elections.
