Tema Port gets Acting Director

The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority  has appointed Captain James Owusu-Koranteng as the Acting Director, Port of Tema, with effect from August 1, 2012.

The Acting Director was the Harbour Master, Port of Tema, until his appointment, a statement signed by Mr Lawrence Atumbine, Public Relations Manager, Port of Tema, copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Wednesday, said.

It said Capt. Owusu-Koranteng was employed as a Senior Pilot, Port of Tema, in April 1, 1999, and was promoted to Chief Pilot, two years later.

The statement said he assumed the position of Harbour Master of Takoradi Port on September 14, 2005 and was transferred to Tema two years later to be the Harbour Master, Port of Tema.
