FWSC wins President Mills Excellence Award

Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has been adjudged the Best National Institution at the maiden President John Evans Atta Mills Excellence Award organised by the University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) in Accra.

It was on the theme, “Celebrating Creativity and Excellence in the Ghanaian Student Front” and honoured individuals and institutions within the Ghanaian community and academia.

A statement from the Public Relations Unit of the Commission copied to Ghana News Agency in Accra on Wednesday, said Mr George Smith Graham, Chief Executive of the Commission, explained that though its intention was not to win awards,  the award was an indication of the society appreciating its operations.

It has so far migrated over 98.55 per cent of public servants unto the Single Spine Salary Structure and had to contend with labour agitations over the year.

Other award winners were, Mr Ernest Kofi Yeboah, as the Most Inspiring Youth in Ghana, Madam Eunice Yogri, USAG Special Personality of the Year and HOT FM, the most Student Friendly radio station.
