Sunderland says Ghana’s Gyan completes permanent move to Al-Ain

Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan has completed a permanent move to United Arab Emirates side Al-Ain, his former club Sunderland announced today July 6, 2012 on its website.

“The striker initially joined the recently-crowned Etisalat Pro-League champions on loan in September 2011 but will now remain in the Gulf state after the clubs agreed undisclosed terms,” Sunderland said.

Gyan made 37 league and cup appearances during his time on Wearside, scoring 11 goals.
