African Dev’t Bank approves 2012-2016 country strategy paper for Ghana

The African Development Bank (AfDB) Board of Directors has approved  its 2012-2016 country strategy paper (CSP) for Ghana, officials say.

The Bank confirmed  the approval after it released the strategy paper on its website June 14, 2012.

Mrs. Marie-Laure Akin-Olugbade, AfDB’s Resident Representative in Ghana, who also confirmed the approval, tells ghanabusinessnews.com  the paper was sent to the AfDB Board in May this year and it was approved on June 13, 2012.

The paper is to show the Bank Group’s strategy for supporting Ghana’s development efforts over the period 2012–2016.

The CSP was prepared under the guidance of Mr. Ferdinand Bakoup, a lead economist at the Bank.

From March 26-28, 2012, the CSP Dialogue Mission was in the country to discuss the CSP with Ghanaian authorities, country stakeholders and development partners.
