AUCC founder Kojo Yankah grabs World Education Congress award

Founder and President of the African University College of Communications (AUCC), Mr. Kojo Yankah, is to receive an award for “Outstanding Contribution to Education” at the World Education Congress to be held in Mumbai, India from June 28-30, 2012.

According to a statement on the AUCC’s website, the Jury and Council of Board Members of the World Education Congress selected Mr. Yankah for his contribution to ‘benchmarking educational practices’ in founding AUCC and leading it to attain high academic and professional standards worldwide.

Mr. Kojo Yankah will be presented with a Trophy and a Citation, part of which reads “Your leadership and   contribution to the field of Education is well known. The position that you occupy in the fraternity is strategic and iconic. As a thinker and doer you are a role model and a believer in change.”

Mr Yankah’s award will be received on his behalf because of his bereavement on the death of his wife, the statement noted.

The World Education Congress is a forum of academics, researchers, professionals and policy makers in education from all corners of the world.
