When the police conducted a search on the bus, it retrieved a pistol from Kofi Soldier and some items concealed in a bag.

A police source told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the items contained arms and ammunition, but refused to disclose the quantity.

He claimed that the suspects, who had since been granted police enquiry bail, were sending the items to Agomeda to fuel a chieftaincy dispute.

Apostle Solomon Madji, Chairman of Agomeda, Mla-Hiomeh Concerned Citizens, told the GNA that innocent and vulnerable people of Agomeda received the message of the arrest with joy, but it was short-lived when they heard that the culprits have been freed.
