Ghanaian MPs mourn death of colleague

Parliament adjourned sitting on Wednesday to attend the funeral of Alhaji Saani Iddi, Independent Member for Wulensi, who died on Monday, June 4.

Mr Cletus Apul Avoka, the Majority Leader, proposed the adjournment and Mr Ambrose Dery, the NPP member for Lawra-Nandom, seconded it to enable members to attend Alhaji Iddi’s burial at the Tema Community Nine cemetery.

Members had earlier observed a minute’s silence in memory of their departed colleague.
