Sick boy runs away from 37 Military Hospital

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) on Friday appealed to the public to help trace Annoh Sackitey, a 14-year- old pupil, who escaped from the Simango Ward of the 37 Military Hospital.

He was admitted on April 23 with the diagnosis of cerebral toxoplasmosis and seizure disorders.

A statement to the Ghana News Agency in Accra by the GAF Public Affairs Directorate signed by Lieutenant Colonel E. Aggrey-Quashie said Sackitey absconded from the Hospital on May 10 at about 1830 hours.

GAF is therefore appealing to the public or anyone with information on the whereabouts of Sackitey to contact either his father, Mr Annoh Sackitey on 0244 016 849 or his brother, Alex Sackitey on 020 8315 152.

According to the GAF, Sackitey resides at Sotoum and is a pupil of Bethel Preparatory School located at Sotoum

The GAF statement said the boy since his admission had attempted to escape on some few occasions and on the day in question he was seen to be loitering around the ward.

The statement said at that time the attention of the ward’s authorities was diverted to a patient who was reacting to Iutra Vinus and Sackitey took advantage and absconded.
