Standard Chartered Group Chairman visits Ghana

Sir John Peace, Group Chairman, Standard Chartered Bank Plc, has arrived in Ghana for a three-day working visit.

As part of his visit, he will meet government officials, regulators, staff and senior management of the Bank, as well as a section of the media, according to a press release from the bank, made available to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Tuesday.

While in Ghana, Sir John will take part in a community activity related to “Seeing is Believing,” the Bank’s flagship global community initiative which tackles avoidable blindness.

Sir John was appointed Chairman of Standard Chartered Plc’s board in 2009 having served as Deputy Chairman since 2007.

He was knighted in 2011 for services to business and the voluntary sector.
