Rio+20 is a UN conference on sustainable development scheduled for Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, June this year.
The Stockholm +40 Conference is scheduled between April 23 and 25 and would be opened by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.
The conference is to commemorate the first UN global conference on human environment, held in Stockholm in 1972, and serve as the final informal ministerial meeting ahead of the UN Summit Rio+20 in June.
The event has three main themes: sustainable innovations, sustainable production and sustainable living, which would be discussed in open seminars and panel debates.
About 30 ministers and UN officials would participate in the conference.
