Farmer arrested over missing man

A sixty-eight-year-old farmer from Oboo Kwahu in the Eastern Region, Paul Kweku Yeboah is helping the Half Assini Police in their investigations into the sudden disappearance of Mr Kaku Appiah, a resident of the town, since last Saturday.

The Jomoro District Police Commander, Superintendent of Police John Ferguson Dzineku made this known to the Ghana News Agency at Half Assini on Monday.

According to the Police Commander on March 31 this year, Yeboah and Appiah went to cut Raffia sticks at the outskirt of Half Assini but the victim did not return home.

He said Yeboah told the police that while in the bush, Appiah told him that he was coming home after cutting his load.

The Police Commander said Yeboah claimed that while returning home, he saw Appiah’s load and his sandals on the way but did not know his whereabouts.

Superintendent Dzineku said Yeboah would be arraigned in court after the police completed their investigations.

Meanwhile, a search party organised by the Asafo Companies at Amanzule and Enoise in Half Assini have intensified their search for Appiah.
