Abdoulie Janneh

NEPAD has honoured UN Under-Secretary and Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Abdoulie Janneh.

NEPAD awarded Janneh the first Most Valued Partner (MVP) Award at a ceremony last week in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, marking the agency’s 10th Anniversary in recognition of his pan-African spirit and unrivalled support for its objectives.

Mr. Janneh, who is the author of the forthcoming book, ‘Integrating Africa’, was the only individual recipient of the award that also went to several institutions that have made significant contributions towards the realization of NEPAD objectives.

In his acceptance speech, he said that he was most honoured by the recognition, especially as it comes as a result of doing what he loves to do – work for Africa’s development.
