Ceragon gets $6m wireless deal from Globacom

Wireless backhaul specialist, Ceragon Networks Limited has announced March 12, 2012 that it has secured a new $6 million contract with Globacom (Glo) for its high-capacity wireless backhaul solutions and professional services in Nigeria.

In a statement, Ceragon said it will manage the “end-to-end deployment of its field-proven FibeAir IP-10 and Evolution IP Long-Haul systems” throughout Nigeria, expanding upon the original network it developed for Glo in 2010.

The company will also provide backhaul for Glo’s 2G/3G infrastructure network in Lagos, according the statement.

Glo is the second largest mobile operator in Nigeria serving approximately 25 million subscribers.
