Deacons, Priests ordained into Orthodox Anglican Church

The Most Reverend Augustine Welbourne, Archbishop of the Orthodox Anglican Church of Ghana, on Sunday ordained two deacons and three priests into the Church at Fijai near Takoradi.

The deacons are Brother Michael Jim Coffie and Brother John Emil Boahin.

The Priests are Reverend James Jackson Ferguson-Laing, Reverend Charles Edward Morgue and Reverend Henry MacCarthy.

The ordination took place at the first general convention of the Diocese of Saints Paul and Peter, the Apostles.

Archbishop Welbourne advised the deacons and the priests to serve the Church and the country to the best of their abilities.

He urged them to proclaim the word of God everywhere in order to bring more people into the family of God.

You should share the gospel of Jesus Christ to nourish the people to enable them lead good lives”, he said.

Right Reverend (Dr) Reginald Ofori-Twumasi, the Presiding Bishop of the Holy Fire Revival Church, urged the deacons and the priests to practice what they preach in order to win more souls for Christ.

They should also present themselves as living sacrifices to God and be their brother’s keeper, he said.
