Second half goals from Asamoah Gyan and Dede Ayew secured Ghana a 2-0 victory over Mali.
Al-Ain striker Asamoah Gyan scored through a superb free kick.
Dede Ayew took on the defenders of Mali after receiving a back-heel pass from Gyan. Dede dribbled the defenders and with a low shot scored Ghana’s second goal.
Ghana now leads Group D with six points. Both Mali and Guinea each have three points and zero points for Botswana.
Ghana plays its final group game with Guinea February 1, 2012.
