2012 Afcon: Ghana observing Gyan injury

Asamoah Gyan was rested some minutes into Ghana’s training on Thursday ahead of the Group D clash against Mali.

The Ghana striker was withdrawn from training as a precautionary measure as a result a knock he picked up in the game against Botswana on Tuesday.

“Gyan is being observed in the meantime. He suffered a knock on Tuesday on his ankle and the pain still persist,” Dr Percy Annan said.

“He is being given the necessary treatment to make sure he returns to fitness in due course.”

Gyan played the entire duration against Botswana which Ghana won 1-0.
