I detest politicians who fail to deal with rural-urban migration – Rev. Eastwood Anaba

The Reverend Eastwood Anaba, the Founder of Fountain Gate Chapel at the weekend called on politicians to use the power of governance to deal with rural/urban migration.

“I detest politicians and governments who fail to improve the lot of the rural people after being voted to power, any government or elected officers who neglect the rural and deprived people is not worth voting for again,” Rev. Anaba President of the Eastwood Anaba Ministries, headquartered at Bolgatanga, stated in Accra.

Launching the Women Empowerment Fellowship International (WEFI) a non-governmental humanitarian group, Rev Anaba called for concerted efforts for the development of the country especially the country side.

Rev Anaba said “I was born in the north and after going to difficulties during the developmental stages as I come of a poor family I decided after my training and accomplishment to establish and stay with my people.

He is a graduate pharmacist from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. Pastor Eastwood left the pharmacy profession to go into full time ministry of the Lord in 1988.

He commended the leadership of Women Empowerment Fellowship International for the bold and compassionate heart to venture into areas and people who society has neglected.

“You don’t reach the world with money but with a compassionate heart, and a willing people ready to sacrifice to ensure that others also benefit for the resources of the world”.

The Women Empowerment Fellowship International a non-affiliate religious body was established by Mrs Sonia Antwi, a Philanthropist, who explained that: “I realized that the blessing and resources that God give me was not for me and my family alone.

“I was convinced that whatever God showers on me was not meant for my well-being and the comfort of my family but for a higher assignment, thus reaching out to the needy, the poor and the impoverished in society”.

The Fellowship is under the management of Mrs Vida Hanson, the launch was attended by leading Christian leaders, Gender Advocates, Members of the Fellowship, Traditional Leaders and cross section of the public.
