Ghana FA opens official social media accounts

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) today January 17, 2012 launched its official Facebook page and Twitter account.

The project is to connect the country’s football governing body to the media and public.

“The GFA’s Facebook and Twitter accounts will be updated with news and information on Ghana football as we seek to connect with fans,” the GFA communications director, Ibrahim Sannie Daara said in a statement.

Officials say the social media presence is also to give the Ghanaian public and football fans the platform to express “their views about the country’s football affairs”.
