Ghana FA appoints ex-BBC journalist Sannie Daara as new Director of Communications

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) January 16, 2012 announced the appointment of Mr. Ibrahim Sannie Daara, former BBC journalist as the new director of communications of the country’s governing body.

Mr Sannie who will head the newly-created communications divsion, will also double as a deputy secretary general of the FA.

According to an FA statement, Mr Sannie will also speak on behalf of the association and create avenues for officials and players to effectively communicate with the public.

Mr. Sannie has worked with the BBC for eight years and has been a recipient of the FPA Award in the UK which is the crowning achievement of any journalist’s career.

He holds a masters degree in International Journalism from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom.
